A sportsman and lover of the outdoors has taken his last hike. He died from complications of endocarditis. Jack L. Curtis was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa Sept. 2, 1931, the sons of Velma Holt and Burt L. Curtis. Jack moved to SLC, Utah, in 1943. He attended East High and the U of U where he was a member of Sigma Nu. Jack retired from Air Products and Chemicals after thirty years. He is survived by his wife, Donna Elggren Curtis, sons Greg and Brett Curtis, daughter, Hillary Dobos, 8 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, sister Donna Martinson. He was preceded in death by his son, Lance, and brother, Bud Curtis. Jack will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered. A celebration of life will also take place at a later date.
