Jack R. Springer passed away, Saturday, October 15, 2005 in Bountiful, Utah at the age of 90. He was born May 8, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Myrtle Vise June 26, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jack always strived to live his life in accordance with his understanding of Gospel principles.
Jack was an industrious and creative man. At the age of 14 he started repairing sewing machines, a vocation he pursued full or part-time until his death, inventing numerous gadgets and special tools to aid his work. He later worked at Hill Air Force Base for 25 years. Jack will be remembered for his youthful spirit which included season passes to Lagoon, magic tricks, and toys for the grandkids.
Jack is survived by his wife Myrtle Springer, 4 children, Holly Schaefer, Bonnie Hansen Greg, Robin Naim Ismail, Reg Jill Springer: 18 grand children, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2-sisters, Norma Sorensen, and Jean Manning.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 11:00 am at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful. Viewings, also at Russon, are on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and prior to the services from 9:45am to 10:45 am.
