Jack Trump

Biography

Bountiful – Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and longtime friend, Jack Fredrick Trump, age 84, returned to our Heavenly Father on March 25, 2014.

Born September 18, 1929 in SLC, UT to Frederick James Trump and Athalia Riser Trump.

Married Carma Tracy October 7, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and also served on the Bountiful City Volunteer Fire Dept.

Jack was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully in many callings. He also proudly served in scouting for over 30 years and received the Silver Beaver Award.

Jack served a mission to Australia and later with his wife in the Washington D.C. Temple. He also found great enjoyment in doing family history work and served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake and Bountiful Temples for many years.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Carma; and children, Janice Checketts (Bountiful), Mark and Marlene Trump (Farmington), and Alan Trump (Layton); sister Joyce Parker (Bountiful); 9 grandchildren (Steven Checketts, Shelby Jimenez, Traci Winegar, Michelle Mayfield, Melanie Vernon, Matt Trump, Mindy Green, Nikki Trump and Jaydin Stephens). Also survived by 14 great grandchildren, with one more on the way, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Patricia Russell.

Viewings will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main St., Bountiful, UT, from 6:00 – 8:00pm, and Monday, March 31, 2014, at the Bountiful Utah North Stake Center, 1540 North 400 East, Bountiful, UT from 10:45 – 11:45am. Funeral services will follow on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 12:00pm at the Bountiful Utah North Stake Center.
