Jacquelyne "Jackie" Hatcher Lindquist

August 5, 1935 — March 13, 2021

Jacquelyne ‘Jackie’ Hatcher Lindquist passed away peacefully on March 13, 2021 in Arlington, Texas.

No matter where she was, Jackie was a ‘Southern Girl’ at heart. She was born on August 5, 1935 in Kingsland, Georgia to Dorothy Serger Brown and William Alton Hatcher. She was the oldest of 5 children and spent her childhood growing up along the Florida-Georgia line.

Shortly after graduating high school, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend LDS Business College. Following service in Texas as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jackie married her sweetheart Wesley Hall Lindquist on January 30, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of three children.

Jackie and Wesley settled in Woods Cross, Utah where she was the local Avon lady. She later spent nearly two decades working for Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators. Upon her retirement, Jackie decided to move near her grandchildren, first to Columbus, Ohio and then later to the Dallas, Texas area.

At her core, Jackie loved to serve others. She spent many years working with the Young Women in her local congregation. She later served as a missionary in the Columbus Bishop’s Storehouse and as a worker in the Columbus, Ohio Temple.

Jackie was devoted to her family and most proud of their accomplishments. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Wesley, son Scott, and siblings Mildred and Victor. She is survived by her son Derick, daughter KaLynn (Shaun) Petersen, her five grandchildren and siblings Orville Scott and Deborah Sykes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A viewing will be held for family and friends on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah. A graveside service will begin at 11 am on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Logan, Utah City Cemetery.
