James Andrew O'Brien

James Andrew O’Brien, age 47, passed away January 30, 2016 from causes due to Muscular Dystrophy.

Jim was born October 20, 1968 to Donald A. and Charleen Hyde O’Brien.  He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Iowa, Des Moines Mission.  He was an Eagle Scout and had his Duty to God award. 

He was a graduate of Bountiful High School where he helped with the football and baseball teams.  Jim enjoyed watching the NFL football games and taking trips to Disneyland.

James is survived by his mother, brother Steven (Bonnie), niece Tristina Rosenlund (Dave), nephew Jared O’Brien (Jessica), sister-in-law Jennifer O’Brien.  He is preceded in death by his father, brothers; Mark, Ronald, Scott and grandparents.

We want to thank the staff at South Davis Community Hospital for the care and friendship they gave to Jim.  Thanks to the University Hospital for the kind care they gave him on his last few days.

Funeral service will be held, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bountiful East Stake Center 650 East 2150 South, Bountiful, Utah.  A viewing will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah and Saturday from 10:00-11:15 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
