James Dale Hoopes

On December 2, 2020, James Dale Hoopes, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 73. James was born on October 28, 1947 in Price, Utah to James Alfred Hoopes and Verna Lou Cox.
On December 4, 1965 he married the love of his life, Carolyn Hoopes. They had 58 years together. They raised 3 children: Jim Hoopes (Lynnette), Kristine Odom (Blake), Kantel Lucas (Kyle).
James had a passion for hunting, fishing, boating, rock hunting, camping, horseback riding and going on picnics in the wilderness and just hanging out with his kids, grandkids and great-grands. James had a passion of home teaching, and for 29 years he succeeded with 100% every year. He loved going to work (44 years) at General Chemical (Tata).
James was preceded in death by his father James and mother Verna.
He is survived by his wife Carol; his three children: Jim, Kristine and Kantel; his brothers and sisters: Rick, Pam, Randy, Cliff, Kris and Kari; his grandkids: Chays Hoopes (Codie), and Kindie Hoopes with several grandkids and great-grandkids.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West. A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful prior to graveside services.
