James Doyle Goins

James Doyle Goins, age 69, of Newnan, GA passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020. He was born in Detroit, MI on December 6, 1950 to James Clarence Goins and Peggy Jo Proctor Goins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Goins.

Jim was a graduate of Weber State University and spent most of his working career in marketing and sales at AT&T.  He was a seven year veteran of the Air Force.  Jim had a great passion for playing basketball and attending sports events. He loved to travel and do puzzles with his wife. Jim enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Touran Goins; children, Teri (Kelly) James, Brian (Kristina Healy) Goins, and Heather (Jason) Carroll; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service is Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Russon Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Interment – Bountiful City cemetery.
