Jim Wood, a resident of Rogue River, Oregon passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday August 11, 2019 of natural caused in Layton, Utah. Jim was born on July 12, 1939 in Inglewood, California. He was the son of Lincoln Jay and Marion Wood and had an older sister, Alice and younger sister, Sharon. At the age of 16 he joined the army and served from 1956-1959. After his honorable discharge he worked for the telephone company until he took a job as a cable splicer working in a civilian position for the US government in 1967. Jim retired as a government employee in 1994 and moved to Rogue River Oregon where he designed and built his dream home on five acres of forested land with his wife Carol. Jim was an avid craftsman. He learned the art of stained glass and made many pieces that can be found in homes and churches around the country. He also had a passion for gardening, landscaping and animals. Jim will best be known for his love of family and friends, his giving heart and never turning away from those in need.
Jim is survived by his adoring wife Carol Wood, Sister Sharon Tschasar, daughter Judith Lisac and husband Rudy, son Jay Wood and wife Dennise by his first wife Susan Underwood. Daughters; Kari Dutson and husband Rick and Nanci Nerdrum and husband Eric by Marriage through his second wife Carol, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
