James (Jim) Young

James (Jim) Young died at age 74 at home from a heart attack. The son of Grace Young.  
Jim was born July 22, 1940 in Panguitch, Utah. He was in the Air Force – Area Support for 4 years. He met his beautiful wife, Sharon Flowers in Groveport, Ohio in 1963. They went to Las Vegas, Nevada and were married December 30, 1963. They made their home in Bountiful, Utah and had 2 beautiful children, Tammy and Troy.
He enjoyed RC helicopters, air planes and quads with his wonderful son at South Davis Modelers. He also loved hang-gliding, snowmobiling and boating with his family. He loved traveling with his wife, Sharon down south to Arizona and California for 3 months of the year and were called “Snowbirds”.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Tammy; and son, Troy; 3 grandchildren: Jason, Carrie and Cassie; 6 great-grandchildren: Tyson, Savannah, Alexis, Cody, Gabriella and Hayden; 3 sisters: Theda (Lester) Peterson, Annette (Linden)Hatch and Helen (Tom) Bird. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Young and brother, Warren Young.
He will be missed deeply by his wife, family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held from 12:45 – 1:45 p.m prior to services.
