Born October 16, 1951 to Norma and Lamar Davis in Salt Lake City Utah.
Raised in Utah Jim developed a love for golf, and fishing, he was an avid skier and a strong swimmer. Obtaining a scholarship for competitive swimming in college. After college he worked as a brick mason during which he met the mother of his children, Patty Evans. Shortly after he began his career with Moog, where he worked for the remainder of his career.
Jim had a deep love for machinery expressed by his long career in aviation mechanics and his true love for motorcycles.
In the later years of his career, Moog aircraft underwent some and Jim traveled to different locations for work, settling in Buffalo New York. There he met his sweetheart, Claudia, together they returned to Utah so Jim could be close to his proudest accomplishments, his grandchildren.
Jim passed away peacefully on April 23,2021 surrounded by his sons.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his sons Jeffrey (Stephanie), & Patrick (Cassidy), Grandchildren: Hadley, Ava, Harper and Henry, his love Claudia McEntee, sisters: Jean Jensen (Ted), JoAnne Parrish (John), many nieces, nephews, and their families.
