James W Hadlow, Jr.

July 17, 1924 — March 31, 2016

James W Hadlow Jr., (91) passed away peacefully at his home in Bountiful, March 31, 2016. He was born July 17, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to James W. and Emma Hadlow. He is the 4th of 5 children. He served in the Navy from 1943-46. He married Nancy Jean Fox on Jan. 20, 1951. The family moved to Bountiful, Utah in 1972.
Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served in many callings including Branch President of the Bountiful House on Center Street. He was always serving others. The last 3 years he volunteered his time putting together children's wooden cars for Tiny Tim's Toy Factory. He loved gardening, visiting with friends and his greatest joy was his family. This past September he was over joyed when he was taken by his son James on the Utah honor flight to Washington D.C..
Jim was a Master Carpenter doing remodeling and building custom homes. His talent was service to many family members and friends. Children and grand-children treasure the gifts made from his hands.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, children Joy (Lane) of West Bountiful, Jon (Nancy) of Layton, James (Bonnie) of West Bountiful, Jay (Stephanie) of Virginia, 12 grand-children, 24 great grand-children, and brother Ralph Hadlow of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister's Ruth Hadlow and Jean Stensen, and brother Dr. William Hadlow.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 South Main, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Wednesday, morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Tabernacle prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery.
