Jan Terpstra

Jan Ido Terpstra, MD, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2014. Born June 3, 1966, Jan grew up in Glendale, AZ. He attended Occidental College in LA, medical school at the U of Arizona, and did his residency at UCSF, where he met Anne Russo, his future wife. He joined Anne in SLC, UT in 2000.

His passion for medicine and psychiatry found a place to flourish within the U of Utah healthcare system, where he held multiple faculty and clinical roles.

He is survived by his wife, his mother Edith, his father Gerrit, and his sister Lenneke Brown.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on January 17, 2015 from 2 – 5 p.m., at the U of Utah Commander’s House. “Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart…live in the question.” ~ Rilke
