Jane Stevenson, dear mother, daughter, sister and aunt, died unexpectedly at her beloved cabin home in Oakley, Utah on Friday, April 11, 2014. She was 42 years young. Jane was born in Oakland, California, and began her love of nature early on the cold beaches of California, the lakes of Oregon, and in the forests of northern Montana. She began playing the piano at 8 years old and had a natural gift for music. She had a passion for the piano and excelled in her study. After graduating from Davis High, Jane began working as a pharmacy technician, a job she loved and worked hard at. The love of Jane’s life was her son, Miles. There was no prouder cheerleader on the sidelines while he played numerous sports. Jane’s love of nature deepened in recent years as she hiked the mountains of Summit County and began learning to fly-fish along side her best friend Bryan Sharp, and her best girl Maggie, the white lab who never left her side. Jane loved fiercely and lived fully. She will be missed my many. Jane is survived by her son, Miles Persinger, parents Ric and Sidney Stevenson, brothers Brooks Stevenson (Laura) Bryce Stevenson (Aly) and sister Erin Deller (Jesse) as well as 4 nieces and 4 nephews, Bryan Sharp and Maggie dog and Grandma Sam. A viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St. in Farmington, UT, on Thursday, April 17, from 6-8:00 p.m., and Friday, April 18, from 9:30-10:30 with the funeral following at 11 a.m. Jane will be buried at the Kaysville Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been set up at Zions Bank in Utah, in Jane Stevenson Persinger’s name, for her son Miles Persinger.
