Janet Ballard Hunsaker

Janet Ballard Hunsaker, of Centerville, Utah passed away peacefully on January 3, 2017.  She was born in Salt Lake City on December 3, 1952 to Jack D. and Phyllis Ballard and spent most of her life in Woods Cross, Utah.
Janet graduated in 1971 from Viewmont High School, and then attended the University of Utah.
Janet married Spencer F. Hunsaker on May 10, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They were blessed with two children; Jacob and Holli.
After a year of living in Brigham City, Janet and Spencer moved to Woods Cross.  Janet worked for Sorenson Research/Abbott Labs for over 10 years, and then for Joseph Jensen, M.D. for almost 30 years.  She loved meeting people and developed many friends.  She had a wry and playful sense of humor and wasn't afraid to tell it like it was!  She enjoyed her monthly "Girls Night Out" with Joan, Sue, and Becky.  She was a die-hard University of Utah fan (GO UTES!) and loved to tease any BYU fan.  She loved going to her ranch in Star Valley Wyoming.  
Janet is survived by her husband, Spencer of 42 years; son, Jacob (Daisie); daughter, Holli Hoeksel (Billy); grandchildren, Samantha, Sadie, Shelbie, Andrew, Hailey, Will, and Paul; Mother, Phyllis Ballard; Brother, Tony Ballard (Teri); many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.  Janet is preceded in death by Father, Jack D. Ballard; Sisters, Rebecca Ballard and Betty Prichard.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Centerville South Stake Center located at 270 North 300 East, Centerville, Utah.  A viewing will be held Sunday at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah from 6:00-8:00 and Monday at the church from 9:45-10:45. Interment will be the Smoot Cemetery, Smoot, Wyoming.
