Janet Carolyn Grainger Bennett

Janet Carolyn Grainger Bennett born July 7, 1932 was surrounded by her family as she rejoined her awaiting family on January 23, 2017.  Jan was an exceptional, determined person and demonstrated that as she fought to live so as not leave her earthly family.  Throughout her fight, she continued to learn and grow.  She showed more strength than anyone ever thought possible while never complaining and always smiling.  She was especially happy as her family surrounded her during her last couple of weeks.  
Throughout her life, Mom accomplished her objectives and NEVER gave up.  She was very talented being an accomplished seamstress, a fashion diva of sorts, making heads turn when entering a room.  Her fashion taste bled into her keen eye for interior decorating. Aside from these hobbies, Mom worked as a substitute teacher and at Continental Airlines for many years.
Her heart was devoted to her kids and grandkids whom she loved.  She will be greatly missed.  She leaves behind 4 children, Debbie Gray (husband Dana), Carolyn Lindsey, Robert Bennett, Jr. (wife Alejandra) and Scott Bennett; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where a viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning 9:45-10;45 a.m. prior to services. Interment to follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West.
