On the evening of March 20, 2013, Janita Hood Livingston passed away quietly in her home surrounded by several family members. Her short battle with cancer was done so with poise and dignity. She managed to keep and promote a positive and grateful attitude throughout this ordeal and in fact lifted the spirits of many who were saddened by this turning event in her life. Jan was the epitome of service and compassion. Her life was spent in the service of many, especially her family. She gave all she had to others without hesitation. She truly felt love for all she made contact with and felt a desire to comfort all those around her. Jan was preceded in death by many family members who she had served. Much of the service she gave them was that of temple work. Hundreds of people remain having been blessed by the gifts and talents that she possessed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to CNS Hospice organization for their unfailing service given to Jan as well as the Hospice make a wish Program.
Jan would tell all she knows to go and serve their neighbor. She would utter the words that we often heard from her to Carry On.
