Jason Lutes passed away early Friday morning from an aortic aneurysm. Jason was born January 13, 1970 to LeRoy and Sherry Lutes. As a child, Jason loved going fishing with his dad in southern California. He always loved the outdoors, camping and scouting through his youth and hiking as an adult. He played basketball and football in high school, and played flag football on adult recreational teams. Jason spent two years living in Brazil and developed a love for everything Brazilian and the Portuguese language. He taught Portuguese language classes for many years after returning from Brazil. Jason was a proud father. He loved his sons more than his own life. He was a brilliant computer programmer who had an innate ability to understand many different coding languages. He was always pushing himself to be an expert in his field and loved learning new languages.
Jason left a loving family including his wife, Amy, three sons, Sean, Ethan, and Brouan, and two step sons, Adam and Zane. He is survived by his parents and three sisters, Christine, Brenda, and Lynnette. He loved his family and his many friends. He was generous beyond words and always the first person to help someone in need. The world has lost a great man in Jason and he will be sorely missed.
A celebration of Jason's life will be held Tuesday April 7 at 2:00 PM at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N Main St, Bountiful, UT. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Jason's name to the Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City.
