Jean Chamberlin Drumiler

May 14, 1923 — November 26, 2015

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend returned home to her Father in Heaven on Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2015).  It was appropriate that she passed away on this day of gratitude.

Jean was born May 14, 1923 to James Francis and Sarah Irene Simons Chamberlin in Ogden, Utah.  She married her college sweetheart, Daniel William Drumiler, in the Salt Lake Temple on March 8, 1944.  Together they had 7 children and recently celebrated 71 years of marriage.

Jean’s first real job was at the old Egyptian Theatre.  After they were married, Dan and Jean moved to Oakridge, Tennessee, where they worked on the Manhattan Project, Jean as a secretary and Dan as a chemical engineer. Jean had a wonderful talent; she loved sewing and made prom and wedding dresses for all her daughters.  She also loved to read historical novels and biographies.  Her favorite pastime was talking with her husband.

Dan and Jean served an LDS mission together in the New York, New York Mission, and later served as temple workers in the Bountiful Temple.

Jean was a one-of-a-kind classic.  No one could speak to Jean without coming away uplifted and happy.  She always had positive, kind words to say about everyone!  Her greatest joy in life was her family.

She is survived by her husband, Dan, her children,  Dianne Torgersen (Sheril), Shauna Jones (Nick), Kathleen White (Roger, Lauren Reinholtz (Ron), Karen Parsons (Matthew), Daniel James Drumiler (Marilyn), her sister, Frances Miller, her brothers, Robert and James Chamberlin,  27 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Rebecca Jean, her sisters Irene and Muriel.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Lakeview Ward, 455 South 1200 East, Bountiful.  A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, and from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services.  Interment at the Lakeview Cemetery.  1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
