Jean Jensen Firth

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away July 12, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving Husband and all four of her children.

She was born March 28, 1935 to Edward and Agnethe Jensen in Woods Cross Utah. She attended Davis High and graduated in 1953.

She was an active member of the LDS Church. She fulfilled many callings, the last one being an ordinance worker at the Bountiful Temple.

She worked for Davis School District for 30 years. She ended her career as a Unit Manager in the school lunch program.

She loved to sew, do needle work and was an excellent cook.

She met the love of her life, Donald J. Firth at the Great Salt Lake Resort “Saltair” in the summer of 1953. They were later married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 3, 1955. They have been married for 61 years.

She is survived by her husband Don, and four children, Sandy (Gary) Couch, Greg (Monica), Sue (the late Roger) Berry, Brian (Calley), brothers Carl and Lynn Jensen, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16 at Legacy Park Stake Center, 2024 South 1475 West, Syracuse, UT 84075.  A visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 15 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St., Farmington, UT 84025 and on Saturday, July 16 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment- Syracuse City Cemetery.
