Jeanene Stringham

May 4, 1930 — February 27, 2013

Surrounded by her loving family, our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on February 27, 2013. Jeanene was born May 4, 1930 to Carl Evan Moss and Jetta Holbrook. She married the man of her dreams Fred H. Stringham May 11, 1951 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
Jeanene was raised in Bountiful and attended Davis County schools and the University of Utah. She worked as a secretary for the State Public Instruction in the Vocational Rehabilitation Department for three years before starting her family.
Jeanene has been involved in community projects, served in the P.T.A., and has been active in the church all her life. She has taught in all of the organizations and served as Ward Primary President, Stake Primary President, Ward Relief Society Presidency, Hostess on Temple Square, Member of the Young Women General Board from 1978-1984 with assignments in the United States, Canada and Australia. She also served along side her husband as he presided over the Houston East Texas Mission from July 1993 to July 1996.
Mom had many interests and hobbies. She loved sewing of all kinds, tole painting, reading, genealogy, keeping journals, family histories, scrap booking , travel, music, golf, decorating, gardening, cooking, but most of all being wife mother and grandmother to her family.
Jeanene is survived by her husband Fred; children: Jeff (Shawn), Paul, Sheri, Gary (Kristi), Scott (Kathy), Farrell (Darlene); twenty four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sister Ann Wortley.
Preceded in death by, parents, sister Louise Rohwer and grandson Austin.
The funeral services will be held on Monday March 4, at 11:00am at the Oak Hills Ward, 455 South 1200 East in Bountiful. The viewing will be held Sunday March 3, at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 North Main, Bountiful 6-8pm and Monday one hour prior to funeral services at the Oak Hills Ward.
