Jeanine Watts Perry, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2022 at the young age of 86 at her home in Centerville, UT.
Jeanine was born in Lynndyl, Utah to Don Walker Watts and Vera Ashby Watts on May 4, 1936. She was the second child of six children. She attended school in her youth and teenage years in Springville, Utah. She was involved in drama and the school newspaper clubs. Jeanine attended BYU where she met the love of her life, Dale.
Jeanine married Dale Stephen Perry on June 6, 1958 in the LDS Salt Lake City Temple after a nearly three-year engagement to Dale before, during and after his two and a half years mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
After Jeanine and Dale were married, they started their life together first in Provo, Utah where Jeanine worked at the Central Bank, while Dale was finishing his schooling at BYU. They moved to Richland, Washington in August 1959 where they gained long-time friends. After 10 years they moved back to Utah. Jeanine was very proud that she had found their home in Centerville, Utah all by herself.
Jeanine was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many callings in the church, to name a few; Stake Young Women's Presidency, Young Women's camp director, and callings in the Primary and Relief Society Presidency's.
Jeanine and Dale served two missions together from 1998-2000 serving the 49 Western Deseret Industries working closely with several churches and other community agencies to give grants to individuals in need of assistance. Then in 2012-2014 they served an 18-month mission assisting all ten mission areas in Chile.
Jeanine was always involved with her children at their schools as she served many years as room mother and on the PTA board. She received a certificate training award while she was working with the State of Utah unemployment services for 18 years.
Jeanine is preceded in death by Craig Don Perry (Son), Don Watts (Father) Vera Watts (Mother), Richard Watts (Brother), Anna Joy Watts (Sister-in-law), Richard Johnson (Brother-in-law), Jenny Watts (Niece)
Jeanine is survived by Dale Stephen Perry (Husband), Michael Stephen (Son) and wife Donna Adams Perry, Marsha Cloward Perry (Daughter-in-law), Douglas Alan (Son) and wife Diane Holbrook Perry, Denise Perry Norberg (Daughter), Lisa Kaye (Daughter) and husband David Titensor, Andrea Perry Malley (Daughter) and her fiancé Clint Malley, 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Donald Watts (Brother), Jean Watts (Sister-in-law), Robert Watts (Brother) and wife Martha, Annalee Johnson (Sister), and David Watts (Brother) and wife Paula.
Pallbearers are her grandsons: Ryan Perry, James Devereaux, Russell Titensor, Colton Perry, Dallin Perry, Kameron Norberg, Kendale Madsen, Keaton Madsen, Blake and Grant Malley
Honorary Pallbearers are her sons Michael Perry, Douglas Perry and son-in-law's David Titensor, Clint Malley.
The family of Jeanine Perry wishes to extend our sincere gratitude for their kind, loving, and caring members of the Centerville 11th Ward, extended family, friends, home hospice agencies and all their caring staff and Russon Mortuary & Crematory.
A gathering will be held the prior evening on, September 7, 2022 at Russon Mortuary. 295 N Main Bountiful, Utah from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the Centerville 1st and Canyon Wards 300 East 100 South Centerville, Utah on September 8, 2022 starting at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 am at the church prior to the services.
Services will be streamed live on Russon Brothers Mortuary Facebook page and this obituary page.
Interment will follow at Centerville City Cemetery, located at 700 East 400 South, Centerville, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Missionary or Humanitarian Funds.
