Jeffrey Cazier, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away in his home surrounded by family on December 15, 2014 at the age of 61 due to melanoma cancer.
Jeff was born August 16, 1953 in Brigham City, Utah, and raised there by his loving parents, Stephen Allen Cazier and Pearl Doris Olsen Cazier. He grew up pumping gas and servicing cars at his family-owned Conoco service station on Main Street, and forever loved his hometown. His childhood included baseball, skiing, golf, tennis, scouting, and annual Peach Days celebrations. Jeff loved nature, adventure, and spending time outdoors. He loved camping, backpacking, and riding off-road vehicles with close friends and family. After serving in the LDS Pennsylvania mission, Jeff found true love and married Kaye Hendricks in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 30, 1975. Perfectly paired with comedy and humor, Jeff’s fun personality entertained all who knew him. He had a memory for faces, and names. He was never shy about socializing, which served him well as an enthusiastic student body officer at Weber State College. After graduation, he and Kaye raised their family in Kaysville. Jeff worked for many years in the computer industry and later began his own interior painting and decor business. He generously gave his time and resources to the Boy Scouts of America and was the recipient of the Silver Beaver award. He was a Philmont Scout Ranch Instructor, District Executive Venturing Trainer, and Scoutmaster. He loved working in his vegetable garden. His deep testimony of the Savior was felt by all who knew him. He served in church bishoprics, high priest leaderships, and young mens. Above all, Jeff’s greatest treasure and enjoyment was his wife and family whom he loved deeply.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kaye; three siblings, Stephen (Renee), Kathy (Doyle) Kerbs, and Craig; four children, Carrie (Ben) Brough, Garrett (Erin), Russell (Rachel), Spencer (Whitney); and seven grandchildren.
