Jeffrey Lynn Naylor

July 9, 1954 — September 10, 2024

Kaysville, Utah

Jeffrey Lynn Naylor, was born on July 9, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the youngest of four children to Delbert Goff and Helen Wallace Naylor. Jeff passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, in Kaysville, Utah. Jeff was kind, compassionate, and gentle. He always had a smile on his face and made everyone around him feel loved.

Jeff grew up in South Jordan, Utah. He was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in 1973 he served a mission to Washington D.C. He married Rhonda Randall on April 16, 1976 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of three children: Matthew (deceased), Cody Lynn (Liz) Naylor, and Mandi Jane (Rodrigo) Sanchez. He was a proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren: Roderick, Lexi, Aubrey, Maya, Gavin, Beau, and Sadie. He showed love to his grandchildren by attending many of their activities including soccer games and recitals.

In his younger years, Jeff enjoyed playing baseball, and was quite an athlete. He shared his love of sports with his kids by coaching them in little league and basketball. Jeff loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and camping.

Jeff worked at RB’s One Stop in Centerville, Layton, and Kaysville. He earned a bachelor's degree at Weber State University in 1994, and later earned a master's degree from the University of Phoenix. His education served him as he worked at the Deseret Industries in Employment Services for 20 years before his retirement in 2016.

Jeff was a man of faith. He diligently fulfilled church callings and assignments. His biggest joy was serving others, and he was loved by many in return. Jeff was an example to all through many years of failing health. His family loved him dearly.

Jeff is also survived by siblings Gerald Naylor (Deana), and sister Sharon Bateman (Kent). He is preceded in death by his parents, son Matthew, and brother Wally (Arda).
