JeNean Anderson Carver was born Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1947 in Brigham City, Utah to Ernest Ardell and Jenae Marble Anderson. She died on May 26th, 2012 due to heart failure.
She grew up in Centerville, Utah, graduating from Centerville Elementary, Kaysville Jr. High and was in the first graduating class of Viewmont High in 1966. She also wrote the words to the schools Alma Mater. She attended College of Southern Utah (now Southern Utah University) from 1966-1968, but graduated from Weber State College (now Weber State University) in 1974.
JeNean married Lee Mitchell Challis in 1967 (divorced). On Friday the 13th of December, 1974 she married Bradford Charles Carver in the Salt Lake Temple. In early 1975, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska. During their years in Alaska, they had three wonderful children – Anna Naomi, Zachary Ivan and Elizabeth Suzanne.
They moved back to Utah in 1980. JeNean then went back to work at KSL-TV where she had briefly worked during and after her senior years in college. She continued to work there until early retirement in 2007, working most of these years as the station’s archivist.
Brad and JeNean divorced in 1983, and JeNean and her children moved to Bountiful, Utah.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, holding many positions in Primary, Relief Society, Sunday School and Young Women.
JeNean is survived her mother, Jenae Marble Anderson; her children, Anna (Joe Thayer), Zachary (Katrina) and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Naomi Kathirine Carver Thayer, Kerrylin Jenae Carver Thayer, Quinn Zachary Tate and Lilianna Zoey Thorson; brothers, Kim Marble Anderson, Kyle “C” Anderson (Carol), sister Naomi Lin Moss (Daniel) and stepmother Jean Anderson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Ardell Anderson and grandparents Nathaniel Earl and Naomi Hansen Marble, Ernest Nephi Anderson, and Ivy Mathias Anderson Graser (Earl).
A viewing will be held from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 31st at Russon Brothers Mortuary (295 N. Main in Bountiful). Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 P.M. on Friday June 1st with a viewing from 12:15 P.M. to 1:15 P.M. at the Orchard First Ward Chapel (3707 S. 800 W. in Bountiful.) Following funeral services, burial will take place at the Centerville Cemetery.
