Jenneil Bryant Stratton

Jenneil Bryant Stratton, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on November 15, 2023, in Bountiful, Utah, at the age of 92.

Jenneil was born May 28, 1931, to Arthur James and Jennett Walker Bryant in Cedar City, Utah. The youngest of 7 children, she grew up farming in the Cedar City area.  Jenneil graduated from Cedar City High School and the Branch Agricultural College (now SUU).

She met Arwin Stratton at a dance in Kanarraville in 1953. They married on October 2, 1954, in Cedar City.   

They raised 4 children in Cedar City before moving to Hurricane in 1983. She taught all her children how to work hard and how to cook. She was the center of the family. Everyone turned to Mom or Grandma. The lives and activities of her children and grandchildren were the focus of her later years. She had a kind word for everyone.

She is survived by son Brent (Carol) Stratton, daughter Jeanne (Mike) Rawlins, daughter-in-law Amye Stratton, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and stepsons Richard (Sue) and David Craig and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Arwin and sons Lyndon and Mark.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Hurricane Cemetery, 225 East 600 North, Hurricane, Utah.
