Jerald "Jerry" R. Chapman

September 18, 1933 — August 15, 2017

Jerald "Jerry" R. Chapman was called home by our heavenly father on August 15, 2017. Born on September 18, 1933 to Ether and Leah Chapman.
Jerry was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, beloved member of the community, and all around family man.
He met the love of his life at the young age of fifteen. They sealed their eternal love on March 4, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jerald was drafted to the Korean War and he served his country and heavenly father with dedication and valor. Worked at Hill Air Force Base for thirty-seven years, and was Grand Marshal for the West Bountiful Parade.
He loved Bridger Lake adventures, fishing, camping, and hunting with his family.
He was a compassionate, kind, and loving man.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; children: Mike (Elci), Tina (Brett), Terry, and Jim (Gay); Grandchildren: TJ, Heather, Taylor, Justin, Tony, Brian, Jeff, Joni, Matthew, Melinda, Derek; and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the West Bountiful 2nd Ward, 840 North 800 West. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Saturday morning 9:30-10:45 am prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
