Jeremy David Downs—our beloved son, brother, and friend—passed from this world to a better one on April 11, 2017.
Jeremy was born August 21, 1990 in Ogden, Utah. He spent his childhood in Cache Valley before moving to Kaysville, Utah, as a teen. He excelled in a variety of sports throughout his life. He was active, energetic, and daring. Later in life he developed a love and talent for composing beautiful music. Most important, Jeremy was kind, and he was a friend to all.
Jeremy graduated from Davis High School in 2008. He then served as a valiant missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Fort Worth Mission from 2009 to 2011. Jeremy will always be remembered for the happiness and immeasurable good that he brought into our lives.
Jeremy is survived by his parents Daryl and Allison Downs of Kaysville; his siblings Jordan, Danielle Brighton (Eric), Adria, Jonathan, Joshua, Anne, and Jacob; and his grandparents Georgia Downs of Smithfield, Utah, and Earl and Marilyn Steiger of Salina, Utah. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, L. Rolan Downs.
A viewing will be held Friday, April 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15 at noon at the Kaysville South Stake Center, 900 South Main Street, Kaysville, with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Kaysville City Cemetery.
