Jerrold Hogan was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raymond Hyrum Hogan and Louise Howard Hogan. He was the eldest of three children, reared in Woods Cross and graduated from Davis High School. He was a machinist by trade, part owner and operator in the family business McGee & Hogan Machine Shop in Salt Lake City. His career also included many years as a Utah state appraiser. Dad enjoyed working with his hands, creating and building family heirlooms in his home workshop. He was an avid reader with a quick wit, analytical mind and generous nature that endeared him to all who knew him.
Jerrold married Carma Hatch in 1945 and resided in Bountiful, Utah. They had three children and divorced many years later; he then married Kathleen J. Kundinger in 1967. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Louise (Lee) Bean and Helen Hogan, children, Jerry Ray (Linda) Hogan, daughter-in-law Angie Hogan and Jillene (Herb) Lander, nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Wife, Kathleen and son Randy James Hogan preceded him in death.
Thanks to the medical team and staff at Heritage Place in Bountiful for the care of our beloved Father for that past few months. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
