Jerry Allen Jackson

d. March 2, 2017

Jerry Allen Jackson, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Loveland, Colorado in late February 2017. Jerry was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended Bountiful High School, where he excelled in sports. He enlisted in the United States Navy, serving four years. After leaving the Navy, he worked as an ironworker in Utah and Idaho, later working as plant maintenance supervisor in the pharmaceutical and glass manufacturing industries in Illinois, Utah and Colorado.
Affectionately known to many as “Thumper”, Jerry loved golf, bass guitar, and mastering electronic devices, but mostly he loved his family, his children, and his grandchildren. He had an intelligent and creative mind, as well as a piercing wit. His grieving family misses him deeply. He was predeceased by his father, Ellis Jackson, and his sister, Shauna Bennett. He is survived by his mother, Bette Balefske; sisters, Jody Klatt, Cheryl Sweeney, Kristy Meredith and their spouses; children, Summer Mosher, Aaron Morgan, Nolan Morgan, Lyra Brown; 11 grandchildren; step-mother Gerri Jackson; step-brothers and step-sister, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will take place March 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
