1931 ~ 2016

Jerry Arthur Morris passed away May 30, 2016 at age 84 surrounded by family.  He was born on October 30, 1931 to Arthur Edwin and Oreta Hawks Morris.  He enlisted in the Air Force in November of 1949.  Jerry married Audreen Virginia Olsen in the Logan Temple on July 20, 1951. 

Jerry graduated from Utah State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Physical Education. Jerry taught at Bountiful Jr. High School, and also enjoyed coaching wrestling, football and baseball.

Jerry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served in the Family History and Genealogy Mission with his sweetheart, well as volunteered at the Bountiful Temple. He also served faithfully as a Sunday School and Home Teacher.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Edwin Morris, mother, Oreta Hawks Morris Lee, stepfather, Morris Kent Lee, brothers; Oliver Morris, Douglas Lee, and sister, Rebecca Lee.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Audreen Olsen Morris and his girls; Sheralyn and Joseph Chaston, Michelle and Danial Zhou, Amy Joy and Fredrick Durtschi, Melinda Krahenbuhl, PH.D., Marita Sue and Geoff Anderson, Emily and David Worthen, 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel on 160 South 300 East, Centerville, Utah.  A viewing will be held Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Saturday, from 9:30-10:30 at the church prior to the services.
