“Together Again”
Jessica Marie Mayer Bateman, 32, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 from a tragic car accident near Farmington, New Mexico.
Jessica was born Dec. 16, 1983, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bruce Tod and Terri Lynn Copenhaver Mayer. Growing up, she attended school in Salt Lake and Clarkston, WA. For many years she took dance at Gunn Studio and Carol Brotherson School of Dance. She graduated from Cottonwood High School in 2002. She attended Mountain West College and earned a diploma for medical billing and coding in 2005. She worked as a patient registration clerk for several years at Davis Hospital, and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.
Jessica married Scott Bateman on Nov. 7, 2011 and later divorced. She met Bill Anderson and recently moved to Leander, TX. Jessica’s first priority was being with her daughters, and spending time with family. She had a beautiful smile, loved to talk, and had a great disposition on life. She had a big heart and would be the first one to offer help or support to anyone that needed it. She was a very organized homemaker and loved to cook. After her daughter Kennadee passed away in 2010 she continued to be friends with people she met through Families for HoPE.
Jessica is survived by her fiancé Bill Anderson of Leander, TX; two daughters Haley Christensen and Trinitee Bateman of UT; mother and stepfather Terri and Mike Rodeback of Woods Cross, UT, her dad and stepmother Bruce and Paula Mayer of Bartlesville, OK; siblings April Mayer of Fort Worth, TX, Bradley Mayer of Bartlesville, OK, Steven Mayer of SLC, UT, and Danielle Cazier of Woods Cross, UT; grandparents Werner Mayer of Lewiston, ID, Judy Kennedy of SLC, UT, Richard and Deanne Copenhaver of Lehi, UT; great grandma Pearl Dielman of Lewiston, ID; two nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kennadee Bateman; grandmother Vanita Mayer; and uncle Leroy Mayer.
Memorial service will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pinae Gardens Chapel, 690 North 400 West, Centerville, Utah. Friends may come to meet her family from 12:00 pm to 12:45 prior to service.
Jessica you will be forever in our hearts and we love you! We take much comfort that you are rocking and playing with Kennadee. Until we meet again!
