Jessie "Doris" Luers

Jessie “Doris” Luers was born on April 11, 1921 to Nora Ellen Finn Goldman and Jefferson Goldman.  She and Vincent John Luers were married on May 10, 1947.  Together they raised 5 children; Peggy Bearnson (Darrell) of Kaysville, UT, Nancy Marie Holden (deceased), Betty McLinn (deceased), Chris Luers (Jane) of Dardenne Prairie, MO and Patty Luers of Salt Lake City, UT.  Doris also had 14 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Doris was a resident of Rose Cove in Farmington, UT, where she made many friends in the 5 years she lived there.  She was a member of the St. Rosa Lima Parish in Layton, UT. 

She loved doing volunteer work at Lakeview Hospital where she assisted family members and friends in the outpatient waiting area for the past 10 years.  She loved being around her family, loved butterflies, playing card games, telling jokes and was a “wiz” with crossword puzzles.

Her family, who loved her dearly, will miss her.

Funeral Services will be Friday, May 22 at 11:00 AM at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, Utah with a viewing from 9:45-10:45 AM prior to services. Interment: Farmington City Cemetery.
