Jessie G. Tabarez

February 13, 1926 — December 5, 2015

Jessie Tabarez

Born:  February 13, 1926, Leon GTO, Mexico

Died:  December 5, 2015, St. Joseph Villa, Salt Lake City, Utah

Our very special angel, Jessie, departed earth December 5, 2015 for heaven to meet with her loved ones there.  Jessie was a dear woman who always put her faith, hope and trust in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She spent her life loving and helping her family and many friends.  Everyone else always came first.  She was strong and bore her life’s challenges bravely and without complaint.  She will be missed more than words can tell.

Jessie was born February 13, 1926 in Leon, GTO, Mexico to Monico and Alejandra Tabarez.  She became a naturalized citizen of the US March 26, 1992.

Jessie was “mama” to Avis Valdespino of San Francisco, California, and “Grandma” to her neighbor Linda Martin and her children.  Linda lovingly shared her “home cooked Sunday dinners” with Jessie for many years.

Jessie was generous to a fault.  Anything she had she shared or gave away.  She believed in being poor all her life.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Monico and Alejandra of Salt Lake City, and her brother, Guadalupe Tabarez (Molly).  She is survived by her step daughter, Avis Valdespino, San Francisco, California, and her siblings:  sister Valentina (Ralph) H. Paddock, Taylorsville, Utah; Mary Ruby (Rueben) Vargas, San Francisco, California; John A. (Tanya) Tabarez, Syracuse, Utah; Alex (Junior) Garfield, Draper, Utah; sister-in-law Molly Tabarez, Roy, Utah; many nieces and nephews and cousins; her best friend forever Mary Archibeque; Linda Martin and Dago & Alma Ramirez, and many other faithful, loyal friends; and her little dog, Paco.

The family would like to thank her dear friends Mary Archibeque and Dago & Alma Ramirez for their loving care.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015, from 10:30-11:30 AM at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 S. 200 E., Salt Lake City, Utah.  Service to follow at 12 Noon, under direction of Pastor Roy Carzares, Assemblies of God Church.  Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U Street, SLC, Utah.
