Joel G. Brown, passed away October 15, 2017 of congestive heart failure, at his home in Bountiful. He was born May 6, 1941, in St. Anthony, ID, the son of Joseph and Ella Brown. He married Ileen Wayment on June 14, 1963, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Joel loved life and his family. He was known as strong, hardworking, fun-loving, generous, confident and kind. He graduated from Davis High
School and Weber State University. Joel served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the West Central States Mission. He was successful in various areas of employment, helping people along the way. He enjoyed serving throughout his life and loved the savior.
Joel is survived by his wife, Ileen; children, Kent (Sharon) Brown, Natalie (Adam) Belnap; grandchildren: Lancaster (Ali) Brown, Brodrick Brown, Cooper (Makenna) Brown, Kimi Belnap and Bree Belnap; great-grandchildren: Whitley Brown and Maybry Brown. He is also survived by his brothers, Jack (Emma) and Max Brown; along with five sisters: Marilyn (Elmo) Seeley, Ilene Cooley, Leila Chadwick, Linelle (Doyle) Rose, Verla (Dean) Beus and Valerie Schaechter. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Eleanor Brown, Verus Ronnenkamp, Beverly Crummett; and brother, Wyn Brown.
Friends may visit Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main Bountiful, UT. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the LDS Moss Hill Ward, 506 S. 1200 East, Bountiful, UT. with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Bountiful.
