On June 7, 2014, John Clement Anderson won his battle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, and returned to his heavenly home. He is now with his father, mother and family, among the angels.
John was born in Pontiac MI. on February 12, 1931 to Ruth and Clement Anderson, big brother to Georgialee Lovse and sister Sharron, who died in infancy. During his youth, he developed a love for baseball. He played for a brief time in the Chicago Cubs farm system, but remained an avid Detroit Tigers fan throughout his life. In addition to his family, golf and fishing were the other passions.
On January 26, 1952 he married the love of his life Irean Lucas. Their marriage was later solemnized in Laie, Hawaii Temple.
After graduating from Wayne State University, he received offers to work in several different states. He accepted a job with North American Aviation in Southern California, later working with Aerojet, and Northrup. During his career, he participated in aviation history as an engineer on the Apollo, Space Shuttle, and Stealth Bomber projects.
Upon retirement, John and Irean re-located to Utah. For several years, they worked together in the Ogden Temple, an experience he was very proud of and truly cherished.
John leaves behind 6 children: Sharron, John, Pamela, Steven, Charles, and Rebecca; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Clement and Ruth Anderson, infant sister Sharron, and grandson, Kevin Anderson.

Dad, you will be missed by all; your wife, your children, your grandchildren and great-grandchildren; friends and people that you knew and helped throughout your life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association of Utah.
