John Davis

John Deward Davis, born June 29, 1941, son of the late Deward and Betty Davis, passed away March 23, 2013. He was a man larger than life. He never met a stranger that didn’t become his friend. He had a deep love of nature and the mountains where he lived the last 15 years of his life. But nothing meant more to him than his wife and family.
He served his country in the US Navy. He retired from Lorraine Press after working many years in the printing business.
John is survived by his wife Troy; children, Michele Davis, Lexington, SC, Melissa Caamano (Ben), SLC, Eric Davis (Wendy), Arlington, VA, Antoinette Martinez, FL, Rob Morrison (Tracy), SLC, Cyndi Bohan (Mike), OH; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Gaylord (Thelma), Sandy, and Glade, ID; sisters, Gladys Davis, Bntfl, Karen Banks (Jim), WX. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Terry and Gerry, and first wife, Sandra Lee Diehl Davis.
We will miss his wonderful sense of humor.
The family would like to thank the staff at Highland Care Center for the love and compassion they gave to him.
A memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main where a visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to services.
