John Kenneth Milner passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 from complications of a stroke he suffered a year ago.
John was born in Rochester, MN on June 14, 1961 to Harold W and Susan Emmett Milner (later divorced). He was named for his grandfathers. He grew up in McLean, VA, was active in scouting, becoming an Eagle Scout. He attended BYU and Weber State. He served a mission in Costa Rica and Panama and held various positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His favorite job was teaching skiing at Deer Valley Resort.
Throughout his life everyone knew him for his ever-present smile and his sweet and loving disposition. His best childhood friend said of John, “He was one of the sweetest, kindest, most sensitive friends one could ever have.”
John’s last year of declining health was made bearable by the incredible care and devotion of his beloved wife, Tiffani. He loved her unconditionally and would have made a wonderful dad to their infant daughter, Audrey Grace, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Tiffani Edwards Milner, Harold W Milner, father, Lois F Milner, stepmother, sisters Mary Partridge and Jennifer Milner. He is also survived by stepsisters, Suzanne Sackas, Jane Riley, Mary Ann Empey, Julianne Parkinson and Katherine Parkinson. He was preceded in death by Richard Stephen Milner, brother, Audrey Grace Milner, daughter and Susan Emmett Milner, mother.
On Saturday, May 18th, friends may visit with the family from 9:00am to 10:30am followed by the funeral at 11:00am. The services will be held at the Clearfield 8th Ward Chapel, 338 West 1800 North, Sunset, Utah. Burial will take place at the Salt Like City Cemetery at approximately 3:00pm.
