Our hearts are broken at the unexpected passing of our brother, John L. Goffredo, Jr., age 69. He arrived in our family on March 11, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the fourth of five children born to Phyllis Cooper Larsen and John L. Goffredo, Sr. We moved often while growing up due to Dad’s career in the Air Force, living in eight different states, Canada, the Philippines and Italy. Handsome Johnny attracted many girlfriends, and he had a wickedly funny sense of humor. He worked hard in his career as a talented electrician, retiring just a few years ago. He enjoyed all genres of music and movies, loved to cook and was an outstanding photographer, to name just a few of his many talents.
Johnny was the first of the Goffredo siblings to move on from this life, and he will truly be missed. He is survived by sisters Christine (Bill) Via, Carolyn (Bob) Johnston, Grace (Kent) Hansen, and brother Tony (Jody) Goffredo; 16 nieces and nephews, and their children. He was preceded in death by our parents. Johnny, we hope that life in heaven exceeds your wildest dreams. Please give Mom and Dad our love. RIP, sweetheart… you’ll always have a special place in our hearts.
A private graveside service will occur in late spring to honor Johnny’s memory, when out-of-state and local family members can gather together.
