John Oldham

John Blaine Oldham, age 88, passed away Friday, June 3, 2005 in Bountiful, Utah John was born June 12, 1916 in Logan, Utah, the son of James and Ellen Oldham. Married Pearl Mitchell in the Salt Lake Temple August 19, 1936, who died February 25, 1980. Married Genieve Ashby December 22, 1980 who died June 9, 1995. John was an active member of the Bountiful 3rd Ward. John was very active at the Bountiful Golden Years Senior Citizen Center where he enjoyed the company of many friends. He performed community service by delivering ?Meals on Wheels? for several years. John worked 37 years as a switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad. He took great pride in his yard and won many beautification awards from Bountiful City for his lovely flowers and yard. John was an active happy person who looked at life as every day was a good day! Survived by his son David M OldhamJulia, Mary Lou CraneRobert, James E OldhamCarolyn, 24 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers. Preceded in death by his wives Pearl, Genieve, his son John H. Oldham, 1 grandchild, and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at the Bountiful Tabernacle 51 S. Main Street in Bountiful, Utah.
