John William Thompson
1945–2012
John William Thompson, son of William and Agnes Thompson, waged a valiant fight against Merkel Cell Cancer. He took on this challenge with hope, faith, and courage.
John’s greatest loves are his wife (Diane) and their four sons (Ryan, Trevor, Troy, & Dusty.) He adores his 4 daughters-in-law (Becca, Andrea, Gretchen, & Melissa) and his 12 grandchildren. He also has a great love for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and temple work. His missions to Arizona, Tonga, and Nauvoo were the high-lights of his life.
He spent many years working in the scouting program, coaching his boys, serving others, and building Gulfstream Boats. We will miss him dearly. P.S. CANCER SUCKS!
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the East Millcreek Stake Center, 3103 E Craig Dr. (3600 S) Friends may call Friday, June 1 from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the Stake Center.
