John William Garner

John un-expectantly passed away early in the morning on April 21, 2016.  He was the son of Kenneth Eugene Garner and Janice Ann Smith Garner, born November 20, 1974 in Bountiful, Utah.  John graduated Viewmont High School in June 1993 in Bountiful, Utah.  John married his high school sweetheart Chandra Lynne Holt in Centerville, Utah on August 21, 1999.  John and Chandra are the parents of Rachael, Sarah, Emma, and Amy.  He graduated with an Associate degree in general studies from Weber State University in 2010.
John worked at Dick’s Market and Dick’s Ace Hardware – later Colonial Hardware as Assistant Manager – for 20+ years. John had a wealth of knowledge and experience in assisting  people with their home improvements. He was known as the irrigation expert for most of the Centerville and Bountiful area.  John was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  John was a patient and loving father. He was also a beloved son, brother, uncle, and grandson. He had a deep personal love for all his family. He had a passion for serving others, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved playing with his girls, fishing, camping, and collecting coins.  
John is survived by wife Chandra; daughters Rachael, Sarah, Emma, and Amy; mother Janice; grand-mother Josephine; father-in-law Reid Holt and mother-in-law Deborah Holt; sisters Mary Ann and Audrey; brothers Richard and David.  He is survived by many relatives and friends.  John was preceded in death by father, Ken.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the Bountiful Stone Creek Stake Center, 990 N 100 W, Bountiful, Utah.  Friends and family may visit Tuesday, April 26 between 6 and 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah, and on Wednesday, April 27 11:30 to 12:45 p.m. at the church.  Interment will be at the Lakeview Memorial Estates Cemetery, 1640 E. Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, following services.
