John Othmar Wuthrich

John Othmar Wuthrich, 94, returned to his Heavenly Father November 30, 2022. He was born in Ostermundigen, Bern, Switzerland, on November 15, 1928, to Fritz Wuthrich and Martha Balmer Wuthrich. He immigrated to the United States in 1930.

John married Mary Elizabeth Sarris on July 21, 1947. He loved to be outdoors and was an avid gardener. He was a seeker of knowledge and had great wisdom. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as ward membership clerk for many years, knowing the name of each ward member. His career was in the Utah Air National Guard where he attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

He is survived by his children: John F. Wuthrich (Kathy), Kathy Wardrop (Bob), Janice Bird (Tom-deceased), Holly Wall (David), 27 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Rosemarie Child (Gary). He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his son, Michael David Wuthrich, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, in the Orchard 2nd Ward Chapel, 3707 South 800 West, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening, December 4, 2022, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street in Bountiful, and Monday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
