Jonathan Cahoon

Jonathan Cahoon (Jon, JC) passed from this earth on June 15, 2016.  He was born March 6, 1979 in Bountiful, Utah to Merrill Brough Nielson and Becky Cahoon Nielson. Jon graduated from high school in 1997 and started working beside his Uncle Pete at his store, Clem's, giving him a strong sense of perseverance and dedication. We will miss Jon's gift of serving others, always being there when needed. Jon enjoyed being outdoors, watching movies and listening to music with family and friends. He had a knack for setting up gaming stations or electronics and was constantly up to date on the latest and greatest trends. Jon was happiest when spending time with his nieces and nephews, especially with his little Max. Jon was the favorite uncle. He loved watching the kids play, made the best Mac & Cheese, and always had a coke to share. Jon fought many battles in this life, and endured much pain, but took comfort in the love and support of his family, particularly from his number one fan, Mom.
Jon is survived by his mother, Becky, siblings, Heidi Ann, Ben (Barbara), Emily (Jesse) and Chris.  He also leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews and his lifelong friends.  He is welcomed to the other side with open arms by many family members, including his brother Tim, Uncle Pete and great friend Thomas D Horne.  
Safe journey JC, you will be missed tremendously.  We love you and will carry you in our hearts until we meet again.  
Friends and family may visit Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at the Woods Cross Stake Center (2064 S 800 W, Woods Cross, Utah).  All are welcome to a celebration of Jon's life Monday, June 20, 2016 beginning at 10 am, Memorial Lake View Cemetery (1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah).
