Jonathon David Siddoway

July 15, 1970 — September 28, 2016

Our beloved husband, father, son, and brother, Jonathon David Siddoway, born July 15, 1970, passed away on September 28, 2016 in Farmington, Utah of an apparent heart attack.  Jonathon was born in Bountiful, Utah to John and Sandy Siddoway, who reared an incredibly intelligent, generous, kind, and hilarious son.

He served honorably in the Manchester, New Hampshire Mission.  Upon returning home he completed his education at the University of Utah and received a Master’s degree in bio-medical engineering.  During his studies he was employed by Actavis, a pharmaceutical company and through hard work and dedication became the project manager, the position he held until his untimely death.

It was suggested, by a high school friend, that he become a pen pal to a Sister Mary Gribble who was serving a mission in Portugal. Upon her return he drove to Provo to attend her homecoming.  He spent most of the day meeting her family and after a six month courtship they became engaged and were married in the Provo Temple on May 6, 1995.

Jonathon’s happiness in life was his family.  As a devoted member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Jonathon was a proficient gospel scholar of the scriptures and writings of the prophets, who could quote long passages of scripture or writings from his almost perfect memory.  His deep understanding of the atonement and eternal families was shown in his everyday life by the way he loved people, and how he honored his family.  He was an excellent Gospel doctrine teacher in his ward, and many of his neighbors and friends enjoyed the interesting way he taught the eternal doctrine.  He also served and succeeded in many other callings.

Jonathon’s favorite hobby away from his diligent and constant study, was cooking and experimenting with interesting food and tasty recipes.  His family eagerly awaited his home made egg rolls every New Year’s Eve as they gathered to celebrate the new year and each other.  There was never a time, when his extended family met, that his ingenious humor was not thoroughly enjoyed.  How we will miss   his spirit and unique humor.

Jonathon is survived by his wife and greatest joy, Mary, along with their five children; Sarah (19), Nathan (17), Nicholas (13), Isabelle (11), and Skye (9).  He is also survived by his parents, along with his siblings; Jenny (Brian) Bernards. Chris (Amber), Dusty (Jessica), Kimberly (Seth) Everton, Jami (Jordan) Tolman, Jeff (Katie), Liz (Steve) Abercrombie, and Josh (Becky) and many, many nieces and nephews.    How thankful we are for the knowledge of Eternal Families and the faith to know we will see him again.

Thank you to our family, friends, and neighbors, for the outpouring of love and support.  We will be forever thankful and will not forget your acts of kindness and compassionate service.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at the Farmington Ranches 1st ward chapel, 14 Bonanza Drive Farmington, Utah.
