Jordan James (Jess) Miller

June 7, 2002 — May 17, 2021

Jordan James Miller, who most recently identified as our beloved Jess, was born on June 7, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and she passed away in Aurora, Colorado on May 17, 2021. Jess was on the verge of overcoming her incomprehensible trials but Heavenly Father had other plans for her.

Jess was a very bright young woman who loved reading books, enjoyed having a counterpoint for everything, and had a personality bigger than life itself. She enjoyed being outdoors, going on many hikes in the Colorado mountains, and visiting a mountain cabin the family shared to fish the nearby river. She also loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy and its hero Frodo Baggins. Most of all, she loved her family, who adored her to no end. She was the baby of the family, having four older siblings. She was the exclamation point, the pot-stirrer, the personality of an otherwise “boring” family! Jess was fond of saying, “fun fact”, and rarely were these facts “fun” but they were always entertaining!

Jess is survived by her parents, Craig and Vicki Miller of Wiggins, Colorado; her siblings Jason (Sarah) Miller of Pensacola, Florida; Brandon (Alyssa) Miller of Salt Lake City, Utah; Alexis Miller of Greeley, Colorado; and Brianna Miller of Provo, Utah; a two-year-old niece and a nephew born on May 20, 2021; as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other loved ones. She is preceded in death by her Nana Jo (Wanda Benton) and her cousin Christoper (CJ) Taylor.

Funeral services and viewing will be held on May 26 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah. The family requests that attendees wear something yellow in honor of Jess. Viewing will be from 9 until 9:45am, with funeral services following at 10am. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery located at 200 N. St. E.

For those unable to attend the funeral service in person, a live broadcast can be seen on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page. The live broadcast will also be posted below at around 9:50 a.m.
