Josef Mark Dickes

Our beloved husband, brother, son, uncle, father and friend passed away in his sleep on November 26, 2022. Josef will be sorely missed by those who felt his love and care.  He had an intensity about him that got your attention, and at the same time had a calming influence that you couldn’t help but trust, and so many people loved him and confided in him immediately. He loved and listened without judgement, and always wanted the best for those around him. He loved those he served in his church service in the bishopric, Young Men and Elders Quorum, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Josef loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, and the Book of Mormon and prioritized keeping the Holy Ghost in his life, and has now succeeded in Returning with Honor to his heavenly home.

He leaves behind his cherished wife, Julee, who he trusted, served and loved beyond measure. They had plans that will now be delayed but not gone forever. He is the father of two boys, Henry and Max, who he loved and prayed for day and night. He is also survived by his parents, Hans and Rosemary Dickes, and all but two siblings. He is the second child of thirteen (Elizabeth, Hans, Jake, Jared, Stephanie, Sam, Abigail, Gabriel, Rachel, Rosie, and two half siblings, Tyson and Lorraine) and he loved each of them with all his heart. Josef is now experiencing a tearful reunion with his brother Ben, and sister Sarah, that could do nothing but soon follow with laughter. He is a loyal friend, and would do anything he could to lift their spirits and brighten their day.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 6-8 pm, at the Russon Mortuary, located at 295 N Main, Bountiful, UT.  Services on December 7, 2022 at the Chase Lane Ward located at 1125 N 400 West, Centerville, UT 84014 beginning at 1:00 pm, with a short viewing from 11:45am - 12:45pm. His final resting place will be the Bountiful City Cemetery located at 2224 S 200 W, Bountiful, Utah.
