Joseph Gordon Wirth 1934-2010
Joseph Gordon Wirth passed away December 16, 2010 in Bountiful. Joe was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 21, 1934 to Joseph G. Wirth and Halla Hunter Wirth. He married Vera Joyce Dunster, March 25, 1957.
Joe worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer for 27 years. He was a Korean War Veteran for the Armed Forces where he served as a Corporal. He was a member of United Transportation Union, Elks Club, and Railroad Club #12. He was the First Heart Transplant at the V.A.H. in Salt Lake City in 1985.

Joe is survived by his wife, Vera Joyce Wirth, Sister, Beverly (Darwin) Slaughter, West Valley City, two nieces, Sherrie Slaughter and Brandi Rose (Eric). He was preceded in death by an infant sister and sister, Barbara Amselmo.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:30 am at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10:45 am at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com.
