BOUNTIFUL-Our precious mother, Josephine, passed away peacefully at home, Easter morning, March 23, 2008. Josephine was born December 21, 1916 in Layton, Utah, a daughter of James and Rachel Whitesides. Josephine married her high school sweetheart, Frank Jay Holbrook, September 23, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After Frank’s passing in 1998, Josephine was briefly married to Glade Rasmussen. Josephine, throughout her life, was a daily partner with her husband, Frank. Together they built, owned and operated Brooks Fabrics on Main Street in Bountiful. Fabric was mom’s passion. She was a beautiful seamstress, and loved fashion. She had a great gift and enjoyed sharing her talents with all those around her. Josephine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many positions during her lifetime. Josephine is survived by her two daughters, Sydna Kay Pope Ron, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania and Julie Anne Mann Allan, Bountiful, Utah; 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jay Holbrook and a daughter, Frankie Jo Garn. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Bountiful Hills Ward Chapel, 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Perpetual Education Fund at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
