Joy Dyan Kendell Davis, 54, passed away June 4, 2012 peacefully at home after her long battle with cancer.
Joy was born September 30, 1957 in American Falls, Idaho. Daughter of J. Howard and Eileen Kendell. Married Jansen N. Davis on January 18, 1984 in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. Mother of four amazing children and grandmother of one grandson. Joy served a full time mission for the LDS Church to Wisconsin. She also served in Primary, Young Women, Relief Society organizations. She actively participated in Community Theater as a producer, choreographer, director and performer with several organizations including Bountiful Community Theater, Desert Star Playhouse, Rodger’s Memorial Theater, and was a founding member of StageRight TheaterCompany. Joy was preceded in death by her mother and sister Dawn Kendell. She is survived by her husband; Children – Kendell (Viviane) Davis, Tyson (Michelle) Davis, Morgan (Adam) Harper, Chase Davis; Grandson – Liam Davis; Her father – J. Howard (Glayda) Kendell; Siblings – Kathy (Joe) Badger, Jay (Jennifer) Kendell, Meredith (Doug) Dunlow, Amy (Ryan) Olsen, and Konni (Brad) Morgan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 S Main, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Saturday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
