Joyce Davis

Joyce Davis, born April 2, 1936, daughter of Kendall and Edna Todd, died Tuesday, May 16th in Bountiful, UT. Joyce met her husband Wayne Davis at a weenie roast when she was 17 and walked through life with him for 63 years. She is survived by Wayne, daughters Cathy Bangerter (Kent) and Sherie Baxendale (Peter) and rejoined her sons Vance (d.) and Michael (d.) in heaven. Joyce was the oldest of six siblings: Aldena (d.) (Steve, d.), Bruce (Verla), OraLee (Ron, d.), Flory (Joe, d.), and Lamar. Joyce was fiercely loyal to her family, is loved and revered by her 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren (with 2 more on the way). They often reminded her that anything good in their characters came from what she taught and gave them. Joyce loved and adored them all and provided the greatest example of devotion through her love of her husband Wayne. Joyce was cared for by many helping hands at the Liberty Dialysis Center and her family would like to thank them as well as the Intensive Care Unit at Lakeview Hospital for their tenderness in the last moments of her life.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Services held at Russon Mortuary & Crematory Bountiful: 295 North Main St. Bountiful, UT 84010. Viewing hours Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday 11:30-12:45.
